COMPANY HISTORY
CycleMonkeys was created in September of 2008 by two friends that realized there was a need in the industry to help facilitate the buying and selling of used bicycles. The more they talked about it and researched the competition, the stronger they believed that the need was substantial. So they found a web developer and started the journey of entrepreneurship.

CycleMonkeys is a web based company that helps people sell their bicycles. Our mission is to be the global leader when it comes to buying and selling used bicycles. We also want to make it as simple as possible to post, search, and view the bicycles that meet needs of our customers or visitors. We are also here to help the bicycle shop owners. Eric Welch and Aaron Seamster

ABOUT THE CO-FOUNDERS CycleMonkeys was founded by Aaron Seamster and Eric Welch. Aaron and Eric have known each other since they were teenagers…over 23 years! Their diverse backgrounds complement each other well. Aaron Seamster has over 13 years of sales experience. He started selling advertising for the Dallas Morning News Regional Products Group where he received several Sales Awards. After a few years, he left Dallas Morning News and went to work for his brother at Paul Seamster Sportswear. He soon became part owner and increased their sales by 30% within the first 12 months. After a successful 5 years, he merged his business with another corporation. He continues to sell Paul Seamster Sportswear in several states. Aaron has a BS degree from Baylor University. Aaron has been an avid cyclist since his sophomore year in high school. His love for the sport shows in his knowledge of the products and the industry.

Eric Welch has over 16 years of information technology experience. He’s a seasoned Senior Manager with a broad background in management and sales. Eric has an MBA in eBusiness from the University of Dallas and a BBA in Management from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Eric rode in his first MS150 ride in May 2008 and loved it! That’s where his cycling passion began.
